ALBERTO SPINETTI
Sculptor
Alberto is a Venezuelan artist who studied Ceramics classes with the plastic artist Nieves Batista; drawing courses at the Federico Brandt Institute and obtained his BA at the Cristóbal Rojas School of Plastic Arts. After his preparation in Caracas, Venezuela, Alberto won a scholarship and moved to Spain to study at the Higher Polytechnic Institute, faculty of fine arts of Valencia (1998-1999). From 2000 until 2001, Alberto went to the Kyoto City University of Arts, Kyoto, Japan. Selected by the Japanese Ministry of Education as a scholarship recipient to pursue postgraduate studies at the Kyoto City University of Arts, under the tutorship of the plastic artist Shiro Matsui.
His pieces reflect human emotions presented in a creative way and whether they are surrounded by iron curves or geometric colorful boxes with interesting designs, their expressions and feeling can be understood, perceived and related to by the viewers.
