Angel Mieres
Painter
Angel Mieres, born in Caracas, graduated from the School of Artes Visuales Cristobal Rojas. He is a seasoned artist who has presented his paintings in Venezuela and outside of his country in places like Costa Rica, Colombia, France, Canada and the USA.
Each of his pieces are the result of a profound investigation of his own life and human nature to finally reflect in the paintings those elements and the feelings that inspired him. Mieres has consistent elements that appear in some or all his pieces:
Bubbles: reflect the youth and innocence. It captures and projects the simplicity of life. Real life bubbles are brief and disappear when touched. His paintings prolong its existence allowing them to stay forever.
Tricycles: represent the kid that we all have inside and the possibility to enjoy again our innocence. By representing the tricycle in open spaces, Mieres gives a limitless area with endless possibilities of creativity and innocence.
Words: poetry and words allow the painting to talk to the observer and are the document of Mieres’ faith and inspiration.
